Building
New Hope
Building New Hope assists community development projects in
Nicaragua and El Salvador. Current projects include selling
fair trade organic coffee for a northern Nicaraguan cooperative,
El Porvenir, and supporting Casa Nueva Esperanza, a day school
and residence for boys in Granada, Nicaragua. It also
supports development projects in the Lempa Baja region of
El Salvador.
Chela
Personalized Destinations
Promoting Global Awareness through exploration. Chela leads
small group tours to Nicaragua. A portion of all profits from
the Chela tours go towards helping families and children in
Nicaragua.

employment opportunities to economically disadvantaged artisans

and well-being of disadvantaged people in developing countries

and social injustice around the world. We work to eliminate
the root causes of social and economic inequities by challenging
the structural barriers that foster conflict and human suffering
and limit people from gaining the skills, resources, and power

with an opportunity to gain the lifelong gift of education.

Aglobal nonprofit organization working to end illegal child
labor in the carpet industry and offer educational opportunities
to children in India, Nepal, and Pakistan. It does this
through loom and factory monitoring, consumer labeling, and
running schools for former child workers.
Sweatshopwatch.org
A coalition of over 30 labor, community, civil rights, immigrant
rights, women's, religious and student organizations, and
many individuals, committed to eliminating the exploitation
that occurs in sweatshops. Sweatshop Watch serves low-wage
workers nationally and globally, with a focus on garment workers
inCalifornia.

Fair Trade Resource Network
Raising consumer awareness about improving people's lives
through Fair Trade alternatives.
TransFair
USA
The only independent, third-party certifier of Fair Trade
practices in theUnited States. Through regular visits
to Fair Trade farmer cooperatives conducted by Fairtrade Labeling
Organizations International (FLO), and partnerships with US
companies, TransFair verified that the farmers who produced
Fair Trade Certified products were paid a fair price.
